Our Beginnings
The founder of Thomas Seaweed Removal noticed a need for seaweed removal in the community while working for city lake maintenance. Lakefront homeowners were constantly requesting to have their portion of the lake be cleared of seaweed, so a service was born.
Our Process
To remove seaweed, we use the best tools and steer clear of any harmful chemicals. By removing seaweed this way, we work to protect the pleasant and relaxing lake environment while giving our customers a clean lakefront. Once the seaweed is removed, it is given to local farmers to be used as fertilizer.

The Seaweed Guy
Thomas Seaweed Removal was founded by Caleb Thomas in 2021 while he was in college. Since starting the business, he has earned his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Finance and has just completed a Master's degree in Business Administration. Caleb continues to return home every summer to run the business.
Caleb has had the opportunity to apply what he learned in his classes while running Thomas Seaweed Removal and has enjoyed the challenge of learning how to grow a business. While doing this, he has also had the privilege of meeting so many successful people who live on the lakes.
While Caleb isn't in Wisconsin removing seaweed, he lives in Florida educating people on how to effectively remove their own seaweed through his website theseaweedguy.com (under construction).
